Alright guys I'm up a creek without a paddle. I tore into my 2000 f250. I did new ball joints, and put new u-joints in the front axleshafts. While i had it apart my old man told me to do the job 100% and do seals. so i have new knuckle seals to go in, new inner seals, and a new pinion seal.
So as it sits right now, the axle shafts are out, knuckles are on but ball joints aren't torqued, and i opened the front diff and removed the two retaining clips on each side of the carrier. What do i need to do to remove the ring and pinion in order to do the two inner seals and pinion seal? am i ***ked? i have a pretty decent grasp but i need a step by step and the haynes manual doesnt have one. Yeah i know i need a better manual.
Can someone give me a step by step, point me in the right direction? Do i need a new crush sleeve/ other stuff i have no idea about? Thanks
