I have a 2010 f250 6.4 with 42,000 miles on it. SCT tuned but still has egr and dpf due to lack of free time recently. Saturday I was driving around and I started getting on the throttle for a little distance, then came to a stop sign and it just shut off and the battery light came on. I tried to start it and nothing. Used two different jumper packs and still no start. So I let it cool down and tried again, it started after cranking for a while but then it was idling rough and went straight into regen and blowing a ton of smoke at idle. But the truck wouldn't stay on with out it idling around regen rpms, it would just die like it was starving for fuel. Sooner or later I started it again and it did the same thing but this time I noticed the air intake had smoke coming from it so I removed the bully dog filter and then noticed oil on the inside of the intake and filter. I have not gotten around to a ccv reroute yet either. I'm thinking turbo seals or turbo? Again it has 42,000 miles.. Any help is really appreciated!!!

Only code is P2459 I believe. It's had that forever and ran fine. I know I need to get rid of the dpf, the dealer won't install my new 5" turbo back exhaust would they?

I wouldn't count on the dealer removing a factory part and installing that exhaust.. You'll have to hit up a diesel shop/muffler shop.. Some muffler shops won't touch it either...

Ford just called me back. They say its internal engine damage and won't cover it under warranty because they saw the banks air intake. I returned it to stock before dropping it off so they don't know it was tuned.
