OK I am about 95% done with remodeling both bathrooms and my truck is next. The D50 extra-drop brackets are cracking.
The axle I got is a balljoint axle, 92-95 the guy said. I have not tried to find the BOM number to determine exactly which year. I haven't even unstrapped it from the pallet.
A few questions:
I am thinking about the PMF RS kit, in 2.25" length. will any super duty spring work? I am trying to watch the funds a little bit; thinking about new aftermarket SD springs. Such as these: SD truck springs
The old Ranchos on the truck have given up. What length of shocks will I need with the 2.25" kit in the front / 2" blocks in the rear?
I assume since the truck will be slightly lifted I should get an adjustable track bar?
How does the 60 come apart for replacing those internal axle grease seals at the chunk? I'm not wanting to pull the carrier but it looks like I got to, huh...
I plan to replace all the seals and u-joints on the axle, as well as ball joints if they are bad. Any other advice?
