Need help with this reading on scan tool

The Baro Boost 2 pressure does not change at all while driving and stays pegged at 28.83 at all times

The wastegate also says that it activates 100% as soon as you touch the throttle and when you let off goes back to 0%

does this mean the sensor is bad?

Does the Baro Pressure below it change (not with driving, but with altitude or weather changes)?

Do you have the following PIDS in that scanner:
- Manifold Pressure (absolute)
- Manifold Gauge Pressure

Those would be the ones you want to watch for boost.

As for the wastegate, assuming you are chipped, that's pretty normal. Most tuners are setting the WGCDC to 100% (which is 100% closed, not open).

I know some of the early 99's had both a baro and a map sensor, but beyod that I've never needed to investigate further..
plus the softwear nuggets can call the same thing four differnet names..

Beyond 99.5 the baro was internal to the PCM.

yes it has a MAP sensor reading and it doesnt change at all while driving. neither does the baro sensor boost reading.

the baro sensor psi reading changes a little bit when it cold out but not much.

looks like it has a bad baro sensor to me..

its nice, honestly i like the snap on solus better but this is what out school carries.

we have the new tablet ones but they dont let me take that out :doh:
