What is the purpose of the truck? I've got a 97 pretty well set up like yours and I'm needing sticks bad. Going for a nice reliable tow rig. I was thinking about swamps 200/30s since they require less oil but after talking with a friend with full force 250/200s I may go that route. I'm actually going and checking out his truck tomorrow and see how it runs and how smooth it is. He said he loves them

Here is a post from swamps that a guy posted in my work truck thread.

The 200's use LESS high pressure oil than a set of Baby Swamps, less oil than stock AB, or stock AD injectors...so even if your HPOil pump is "weak"...by simply installing an injector that uses LESS oil than stock injs...your pump will be able to support nearly any ICP pressure requested by your tuning.

I have run nearly every single injector that we have ever, or currently do offer...and both of my current 7.3L's are running our 200cc hybrids. Stock HPOP, stock fuel system...and one truck isn't even running studs...and hasn't for years...with no plans to.

I will say that IF you are going to be using any injector in a competitive nature (dragstrip, sledpull, or extended harrrrd runs on the street/interstate)...that you would be well advised to install studs & springs...

but if you're going to drive it 'normally' for 90%+ of the time, and only sparingly beat the snot out of it...then running the 200s w/o studs/springs is not reckless.

we sell dozens of the 200/30s each month, and (with our tuning) can only recall one person having any type of HG problem..and that was on a fresh build with an unseated headgasket.

In my opinion the 80% nozzle is a smokey pile...the 100% nozzle is not much better for the increase in power...so we generally recommend the 30% nozzle or the 200% nozzle...which can be just as clean as stock with the right tuning.

The entire reason to install a larger nozzle on any injector is to be able to deliver a significant volume of fuel AT A HIGH ENGINE RPM....

the 200/30% injectors can empty the full shot up to 3700rpm..and while they will still function at 5000rpm...the volume of injected fuel would be cut back to about 150cc's.

So, unless you are planning on running the engine above 3700rpm regularly..at full power..the 30% nozzle will keep nearly STOCK atomization (low low smoke), exceptional fuel efficiency, and will run damn good against other/newer 'tuned' trucks on the road.

We've done our 200cc hybrids with our 200% nozzle on quite a lot of trucks...(one of mine as well)..and that combination (200cc w/ 200% nozzle) has been a consistent 550rwhp...on a bone stock HPOP.

the 200cc hybrid alleviates ANY concern with regard to the HPOil system..since that injector size physically CAN'T use more oil than all but the absolute weakest HPOP in the universe could support.

It's just silly in my opinion to build an injector with a larger nozzle than the expected engine rpm dictates...

the loss of atomization isn't worth it for 99% of the street trucks.

Swamps 250/200's are only a few hundred more than their 200/200's.
Bigger is better, right? Lol

Just remember that if your going to change the injectors, your gonna need tuning as well. Its usually recommended to run Swamps tunes with their injectors due to issues of other tuners not being able to tweek them enough.

We offer a 12 month warranty. IF you are shopping for your injectors based off of a warranty timeframe you will not likely purchase from us. Others claim a much longer warranty period. We focus more on the quality of the product that's what makes our customers feel warm and fuzzy inside, not the length of our warranty.

What injectors are they? I dont have near as much work done to my truck as you do yours lol

QUICK STORY

I've had my truck for about 8 years now, and from the day I bought it, it was a dog, so I threw a chip in it, didn't like that chip, went to gearhead and it woke it up some, but still was just a dog. Having been my first and only diesel I thought well that's just how it is.
SO this year, I bought 230/100 injectors from PIS based on the rep they have.
About 6 months later I get around to installing them, found 1 slightly burnt vc gasket, did springs and pushrods also.
Truck fires up, idles nicely so I decide lets go for a ride.
HOLY ****, what used to take me 12 seconds to get on the highway or more, I was now doing 90 by the end of the on ramp.

Now remember this though, I still have the tunes installed for the stock injectors, turbo hasn't been changed out yet, I still have no efuel (sitting in garage) so the only things that changed were vc gaskets, glowplugs, shimmed springs, smith bros push rods, and INJECTORS.

IT HAS never run this good, it runs so well I can't wait to see how my strictly efuel race set up and new turbo, chip tuned for these injectors, etc. does!

Zilla I dont have any of that done to much i bet even though you dont have an upgraded turbo you probably roll a small cloud of coal when you stomp on it because of your valve spring and push rod upgrades and my tuner is factory tuned from superchips and it hasn't been updated since it came from superchips if I were to put those injectors on my truck right now my egts would be scary high plus if were to stomp on it with those injectors I would literally blind everyone behind me and beside me on the highway because my exhaust ends with my downpipe I dont have a tail pipe at all nor a muffler or a catalytic converter

Bill, dynoproven usually runs a combo price on injectors and tuning, might call and talk to them.
I've never ran their tunes, but most people like them, apparently.
Personally, Gearhead tunes, on stock injectors, and 160/100% treated me very well. I've also ran php tunes on stock injectors, very nice. Both sets of fullforce injectors ivery run are decent, and I bought them based on price and availability.
I've read a lot about pis, and he may build me a set before long. Swamps, pretty sure there's absolutely no worries there! They are a bit more expensive, but are probably worth it, lol. No matter what you buy, I'd listen to golfer, he's been involved in these engines before a lot us even thought about "diesel performance ".

this isnt an old mech dodge motor, the tune can be as clean or as smokey as you want with even the most ridiculous big injectors on these trucks

Yeah except I don't have the money type to spend on a new tuner I got the one I have because my dad bought it when he owned the truck so that's the only reason I have a tuner on my truck
