Well it's time to get new tires... and here starts the problem as I don't want to be $3500 into this, but I have a feeling I might be.

Backround.. Truck has a 4.5" icon and 35x13.50s on stock KR wheels. I think the tires look way to small for the lift partially because the rims are so narrow. So i've been tossing a few ideas around and wondering if anyone has options...

1. 37x13.50s on stock KR rims. These will rub the radius arms for sure

2. 35s and rims $$$$

3. 37s and rims $$$$$$$$

4. Considering dropping the truck down some and basically redoing the whole thing. I wish I would have done this from the start but I'd love to have it leveled with a 4-link and traction bars. Then I think 35's would look fine. So if I go this route can I just swap the front coils + add 4-link and replace the rear blocks with a slightly smaller traction block? Should dropping the truck down 2" be an issue for the icon shocks? The more I'm thinking about it can't i just leave most of the lift package on and swap a few parts out to bring it back down?

any feedback guys?

I would drop it down if you dont want to spend money on rims.

Stock KR 20's are only 8 inches wide....that pulls the sidewall of a 13.5 wide tire in at a pretty steep angle and will make the tires wear worse.

Here is mine with 295x65x20 Nitto Trail grapplers on KR 20s, leveling kit is all thats done to it.

I felt the same way about my 4.5" lift with 35's on stock rims. I put 20x10 sotas on and it completely changed the look of the truck. I now want 37's though...

SAK said I'd need new shocks to bring it down, not to mention the rest of stuff I'd need so might as well buy some rims and 37s. The KR wheels will usually pull a decent pint of money to offset the cost a bit.

As for the rims only be 8" wide, I know about tht all to well. I have 35x13.50s on it now and I have MASSIVE cracks in the sidewalks up into the tread. Can't say for sure the rims are causing this but I'm sure it isn't helping. I picked these tires up in a bind for 125 a piece mounted and balanced. Got about 15k put of the so far...

Truck looks nice man.. I really do like the KR rims, one of the reasons I wanted to stick with them. I had 37x12.50 KM2s and I think they just looked a bit to Pizza Cutter.. I think some BMFs and 37x13.50s might be the ticket... Damn money pits!

Been there done that... i don't think a 12.50 would look to bad if I had a bit of offset to make the tires just stick out slightly.. we'll see, i'm considering going all out, but i might go back to a 37x12.50

I think the real thing that bothers is me my 35s measure like 33 and change because it's a 13.50 on a 8" rim

I thought the shocks that come with an icon 2.5" kit are the same as from a 4.5?? That's what mine said when I got them.

Icon 2.0 VS shocks for a 2.5" lift is part # 6-6512
Icon 2.0 VS shocks for a 4.5" lift is part # 6-6513
