Well guys the stiction is getting bad. Truck has 214k on it and I have no idea how old any of the injectors are. That being said I'm not going to waist money on revx or anything like that (maybe someone can convince me otherwise) was 60 this am and this thing wasn't happy. It ran out of fuel a month ago so it's probably more than stiction. Truck has the normal studs, banjos, blue spring.... what's my best option here? Aftermarket nozzles are not an option (I'm an E-3 in the coast guard) due to cost. I'm leaning towards 175/stock. I'm just confused about who does what to the injectors as far as making them work properly not just flow more fuel.

I've read that a stock nozzle injector will not help top end power because the stock nozzle can only empty so much in a given time with a higher rpm. If this is the case I'll get some archoil and save my pennies for 175/75

I know we (PSE) did the bulletproofing on your truck correct?
Anyways, I'd try some Rev X honestly if your wanting to keep the cost down until you can go all out and do sticks. Let me know if you wanna try it and I'll have Dorian send some your way. I know it really helped out my truck when I had injector issues

Like various brands of oil, oil additives seem to affect each truck differently. I think Rev-X is pretty safe to use and will work as it seems to for the vast majority that use it. I know with my truck both Rev-X and Archoil did the same. There is less volume of fluid required with Rev-X but the Archoil is still cheaper to buy. I don't think you can go wrong in either way.

I'll agree that I've heard good things about Warren. He seems to have great customer service too. However, RCD's injectors seem tough to beat too. Might want to look at them as well. Again, I think either way should work good for ya.

Well I have heard the same thing from many people. I ended up going with 175/stock and it was a huge difference over stock. But you are right the toruqe does not hold up throughout the whole rpms band. Anything above 3500rpms and you will not be able to empty the 175cc anymore. I am now switching to 175/75 and will dyno the difference...

here is a thread about it if you are interested (also about turbo setups but my next step is adding nozzles)

Stock nozzles will be just fine for a DD not many people are driving over 3500rpm all the time. I've gone back and forth in my head what size I want to get when the time comes and every time I come back to 175/stock. For the price, power increase and ability to maintain good towing characteristics they're hard to beat in my opinion.

I know river city will flow test them to make sure that they work right the first time. Helps to keep from having warranty problems and the truck being down.

Warren Diesel..... My truck is being built while i'm overseas now and i'm going with there injectors. Reasonable price and I've heard nothing but great things about them.

IIRC i've seen quite a few issues with their injectors on here. If you haven't already ordered I'd suggest looking to one of the reputable builders that sponsor the site like RCD or MPD.

Just so you know. Warren Diesel is a site sponsor and he is a reputable injector builder with great customer service from what I hear (same as you reading about issues). Not trying to take anything away from RCD or MPD as they make quality stuff for sure. Just sayin is all.

Yup, warren is a sponsor. There have been a lot of threads by customers voicing issues with his injectors/work. I believe they were working on it last I heard. I would suggest the OP use the toolbar search function and do as much research as possible before making a choice. Always good to have an idea of what you are getting into before you do

I've been reading like crazy. I know who I'll go with, just concerned with the high cylinder pressures of a stock nozzle.

I hear ya. I have heard mixed reviews so I'm useless for help on that aspect.
