New 6.4 Owner from DFW

Hello All,

I just picked up this 08 F250 XL as a tow rig for my little Mustang GT. I have had several 1/2 ton trucks over the years, but this is my first super duty, and first diesel. It has a DPF delete, and EGR is turned off via the H&S Minimax tuner, along with an S&B CAI. The previous owner has installed some black dyed king ranch leather seats. Ultimately I would like to pick up a set of grey cloth benches to have 6 seats. I look foward to learning all that I can from the members here.

I used to have a 6.4 traded it for a 2011 5.0 GT and now I have a 05 6.0.

I am in Far North Dallas. What part of DFW you from?

Iv learned alot from PSA.

Sure, I"ll get some pictures today.

You could probably track down a black cloth jump seat to put in the middle for those times when you need a 6th seat. Instead of changing out all of it for cloth. Unless you just don't like the leather. I would trade in a heart beat but mine is tan.

The 6.4 can make more power and has a nicer interior, but I love the way the 6.0 sounds. I bought my 6.4 new but the 6.0 used so the 6.0 has had some issues that I have taken care of. I have been pretty happy with it though but they both have their issues.

If that 6.4 needs any work done to it, you can't handle, take it to Mad Matt's in Aledo. I just got mine back from there getting it studded and updated. 60 miles one way from my house but he is the only mechanic in north Texas I would let work on my truck. He is on here but not very often. You could catch him on facebook easier if you are there too.

Thats awesome. I love tan interiors, but the tan seats would look odd with gray panels. I think if the dash were black, then the seats would contrast well in tan. And agreed, the 6.0 sounds much better. I'll keep mad matt in mind for the future for sure.
