Installed a 200 amp Mean Green today.

Couldn't get any response from sellers of DC Power alternators after asking questions, so I went with who did respond.

I had concerns about the physical size of the DC 260 XP, and the 300 XPS, as my turbo discharge pipe is a vband, not a hose...so it doesn't move much.

Well...I would have liked a DC Power XP model, but be damned if anyone would answer a few questions...
You'd think for almost $600.00 they could get back to you about the physical size...oh well...I saved enough money to buy more stuff like LED bulbs for the interior, and exterior of the truck.

Well, had the C-tech charger on one battery for 3 days, and it never "fully charged"...second battery fully charged over night.

Pulled them out today, and took them to Battery Direct to have them load tested.

Yup...one battery dropped to 9 volts as soon as a load was applied to it.
Other battery held 11 volts with a 500 amp load on it for almost 10 seconds, and then went back up to 12+ volts when the load was removed.

Got one new battery for now, as I need to get the truck over to the shop doing the Line-X tomorrow morning.

Got the new battery under warranty. (Optima yellow tops)

Looks good. Who makes the billet lookin ones? Same company?

Yes, DC Power...but I have heard that the 260XP is a way better quality alternator, as it uses square winding wire instead of round, which makes it way more efficient. (comment from a seller)

No issues at all.
And even with the bigger outer case, it still clears my twin turbo piping.

I love my dc power. it took me 4 months to get though.
they have been having trouble getting parts. 320amp is a beast. worth every penny. nick, make sure to pay attention to the size of the pulley.

I cant really comment on the customer service of dc power because I bought it through a friends shop. I know he is a slacker so who knows when he actually ordered it. all I know is, I would buy another one in a heartbeat. Ive always wanted a high output alt but never wanted to fork out the dough. With my audio setup in this truck I had no way around it. I couldn't turn my music up with the stock alternator or my 4 channel would shut off lol. after the alt, its like heaven to my ears. Now I can add more haha.
