Ok guys so here is the deal, a bumper just came up in craigslist and I'm thinking about getting it...first off I'd like to know if y'all think it's worth the price, and second I'd like your opinion if ya think it will look good on the truck. Never been a huge fan of aftermarket bumpers but this still just seems to do something for me....

Here is the link to the bumper...

And here is a pic of the truck

Here is the pic of the bumper just to save a little time....now I know it's a little rough, but was thinking I could kist have it powder coated, or maybe hit it with a little rattler can for the time being...

Personally I would say no. The price is right but your truck looks good with the stocker. I think you would take away from your truck if you used that bumper. Why not paint the bumpers?

I like it. I'd say go for it. If it's not what you want, pull it off, put your stock bumper back on and sell the aftermarket for $400. JMHO

I was kinda thinking the same thing, if I it didn't like it I could prolly just sell it make my money back....only thing I was kinda worried about is wat it would cost to get powder coated...

Just buy a couple cans of PlastiDip. Spray it and bolt it up. You'll know in a day or 2 if you like it, then worry about a more permanent costing. Personally , I'd have it shot with spray on bedliner, that way you can step all over it and not worry about scratches.

To help out you could sand it down really well and use a nice coating or rattle can it'd come out fine until a later date.

You could prob find some wheel paint or something. That might hold up a lil better than your run of the mill spray paint

Never been a fan of that style front bumper, but I just recently saw something new that I thought looked good. Check out this guy's truck (it's a 7.3). 11+ front bumper with the trimmed 05-07 grille

I'm actually really liking that. I wonder how much custom work there is to get it to bolt on or if it would bolt right up ?

I know right? I'm digging it. The guy said that you have to drill new mounting holes (think he said 4 holes total) and that was it. Did it himself in 45 minutes.

I think it looks damn good. Not trying to steer the OP away from that ranchhand style bumper, but just wanted to show everyone another option.
