My names Ryan i'm 25 I've been into diesels for about 10 years now, got my first diesel at 19 built it some had fun with it and crashed it not even a month after I turned 21 on labor day, parted it out made some money, bought another few 2wd cummins and sold the last one in march of 2011, went registered my landscape company with the state of ct and bought my first ford 7.3 diesel after searching craigslist for about 4 hours a day for a month. That truck has made me some serious money, It has gotten me to where my business is today. and 5 days ago I purchased my first "new" truck a 2010 f350 diesel fx4 lariat crew cab short bed, with navigation, black interior, sunroof, back up camera, audiophile sound system, factory 20's keypad entry, the only option it is missing is the flip down dvd player for the rear seats. my plans are to do the dpf and cat /delete spartan tuner, egr delete a little later down the road, then do a 3" lift with a 22" bmf novakanes with 37" toyo open country m/t's paint the grille to match the body of the truck, buy oem harley davidson headlights, install my recon smoked cab lenses, order a set of the recon smoked mirror lenses. And I plan to upgrade the stereo system too, I want more bass, factory sub is not enough. and now for some pictures!

started out mowing lawns when I was 15 I used to walk down the street and cut the neighbors lawns with the walk behind in the middle and had only a handheld blower.

then in spring of 2005 when I was 16 and had a drivers license my dad sold the walk behind, and co signed for a zero turn rider, and he took the 1000 he got for the walk behind which was also a scag and hydrostatic and put that down on the new rider which was only a 48" cut but it would cut much faster and I went on to use this mower 7 years with no issues, then I decided to trade it in with 985 hours on it still looking new. the dealer gave me 3950 for it. I only paid 6300 new so I figured that was pretty fair, and took their offer. I bought a new scag 61" cheetah with a 34hp kohler motor in june of 2012 it now has almost 500 hours on it a little over a year old. no major issues yet.

my 97 pulling my first dual axle trailer with the new cheetah on it with the bagger and my little wonder leaf blower I bought new in summer of 2011.

I added tints and the black toolbox to the truck. also painted the front bumper black.

there's the cheetah the day I picked it up, and I paid cash for it too, the balance after the trade in was around 7k biggest purchase I ever made in cash so far.

plowing some snow with the original fisher mm1 plow from 97.

sold the trailer I bought in 2011 in the spring of 2012, because it was too narrow,

removed some brush loaded with a machine, unloaded by hand...that sucked.

then i bought a brand new 7x14 heavy duty dump trailer a month later life just got a whole lot easier!

only loaded about 4-5' over the stock sides

just a wee bit heavy there. powerstroke didn't pull this quite so well but it got the job done and earned more then its fair share of money.

a little brush in the trailer with some heavy duty pressure treated and stained sides, and some oak in the bed....really putting a beating on my 7.3

a little pine before I had the sides, I did 3 more loads that size that day all from one job.

finally a picture of my 2010 6.4 still under factory warranty. its pearl metallic white with black leather which is extremely rare, I did a nation wide search on auto trader and found 0 trucks that were the exact same, 4 or 5 with black leather interior even. no tints on the front windows.

putting the "new" truck to work finishing up my season while my 7.3 is at my mechanics getting everything related to cold weather starting checked and replaced if needed, because that is my only plow truck for now. Even in stock form the truck towed well. the dump trailer empty is a little over 4200 not counting the sides, the mower and bagging system is around 1300lbs and there was about 1000lbs of wet, mulched leaves in the trailer...the truck handled the weight well in all aspects.

I have about 12 friends who have 2008-10 f350's and f450's deleted and tuned and have driven their trucks a lot over the summer and holy crap I cannot wait to do the deletes and tune my truck. so that's my story hope you enjoyed the pictures.

this is the 08 6.4 i have the most seat time in its an f450 that with 4.88 gears and the spartan 310 tune, cruising down the highway it is at 20psi of boost all the time unless you completely let off and you are coasting down a hill. and yes its on 24" american force Independence wheels with 35's it tows like a dream, and stops quick too!

Haha nice you'll love that 6.4 I loved both of mine! maybe look at something to put behind the grill so it stays warmer in winter. Help it warm up faster.

my f350 with the 7.3 has no issues keeping heat in the dead of winter, and my 6.4 warms up fast enough, I don't work in the winter, unless it snows, and if it snow's i'll be plowing and my 97 is my only plow truck for this winter. so I'll be in that and it will have heat within 10-15 mins of first starting it and driving. maybe even 10 mins or less. it doesn't take long. and you know how ford heat is...it will burn my hands if i put them on the vents and its cranked up all the way. nice and toasty, just how i like it. and my 6.4 seems to have no trouble staying warm either i don't let it idle much and when its not snowing i'm not leaving my house until 10 or maybe 11am if I do at all even. It's nice. I would work if I had work to do, but i don't.
