I have been talking to Mike at Farmers about a set of Sure Flow Injectors now since February. Mike built me a set of 250 100's. And they came in this week. To day I started the install. When I started my turbo and intake builds one of the main things that I wanted was to be able to get to the injectors with out much trouble. To day when I started and it only took me about 45 minutes to remove both valve covers and ready to remove injectors.
I had to remove the right side down pipe, engine dip stick and the trans dip stick. Air pipe for the front intercooler, the oil and boost lines running over the valve covers and air filters.
So I removed the old injectors and glow plugs. Changed engine oil and installed the new injectors. Using a baster with out the bulb as a funnel I filled the HPOP reservoir and the heads with new oil. With the glow plugs still out I spun the engine over till I saw oil pressure in the engine. Installed the glow plugs and finished hooking everything up. Turned the key on for about 30 seconds so the fuel system could fill and bleed out the air. To my surprise it started after only about 20 seconds of cranking. With the truck running and the wife wanting to go out it is time to call it a night. Tomorrow I will drive it out of the garage to wash off the oil spilled and back in for final assembly. Will let you know how every things works then.
