I have seen some pics of people who have put different seats in their obs trucks, but I am not finding much about ones in a regular cab. My bench seat is in bad shape and I want some ideas of seats so I can start looking for some. Any info of pics would be great.

The less fab work the better. The main thing I want to know is how they fit. I looks to me like some seats will be too thick and might not fit in the cab too well.

The regular cab and crew cab trucks utilize the same seat base. The only one that is different is the extended cab as it uses a completely different base when there is a bench seat in it from the factory. The least amount of fab work would most likely be to recover what you have. Pretty much every other option out there is going to require a certain amount of fab skills but anything can be done if you put your mind to it.

SO..... if I understand correctly any 40-20-40 should bolt right in to factory mounts in a regular cab?

bronco seats are bolted directly to the floor instead of a sub frame like the split bench, i have a factory 40/20/40 in my reg cab and i like them i think they are really comfy but they can be hard to come by for a good price

really?.. it must just be the way the seat is attached to the pan then. because of the way it folds to let people in the back. maby its just bronco seats that are different. i know that guy i posted a link to had to drill 3 new holes per seat.

In order to use the 40-20-40 seats you will need the floor pan they are mounted to. You have to swap the entire setup into your truck. They will not fold on an angle to let people in the back seat however. in order to use bronco seats you will have to drill holes in the floor to mount them because they are individual and do not use a floor pan.
