Ok, So yesterday I found out from the dealer that my transmission is shot, my truck is a 2001 f-250 4x4. I was wondering if there is a heavier duty transmission that anyone know of that would be a direct bolt up that would maybe last longer than the factory one?

Stockish to 350hp I would just throw a HD4R100 from Ford... 7 year 70k warranty, and its pretty proven.

Joe how much did you give for yours? I'm going back and forth on that or the bts, but I thought the Ford reman is like 1500 less.

warren diesel transmission has a stock+ trans i think for less then 3k... or the hd4r100 from ford... lasted 6-8 months in my truck beating the pizz out of it on a daily basis... on a near stock truck would prolly be ok..

i don't know if any of our vendors sell twisted but they have a decent stage one priced trans. modded pump, and valvebody.. just over 2k..

but if you wanna spend the coin, bts hands down best trans with warranty there is..

yes thats what im saying.... guess i should have clarified a little better.... after reading it this morning it does seam kinda confusing. with that being said, and im sure you will call bs on it but i was at 475hp(beans dyno), before it was live tuned to 492hp, and flogged the chit out of it daily.... so im sure it would last just fine on a truck that i dont drive..

Im looking more and more at the hd Trans. Just stage ones in the truck mildly tuned, just a good street tune and tow tunes. I have to have it get the trailer down the road and back. Having three warrantee to be able to go to any Ford dealer anywhere is kinda handy. Its just hard to justify an extra $1500 on a 13 year old truck. I would love a new 6.7 but the $60k and miserable to work on.

bts then... nit saying you wont hurt it but brian makes it awful hard to do so especially on a truck with a dd and tkw tune.

FYI, just today I put in a Ford 4R100HD on my 1999.5 F350 $4300 bucks... needed a new one for a Long time and needed the saving for many other things on the truck... wanted a bts but I can use the 1200 in other places on the truck and don't plan on doing over 350.... just some stage 1's and tow\driver tunes.

I just put a HD4r100 in my 01 earlier this week. $2800, I ordered it on Saturday, and picked it up on Monday. I wanted the truck back so I chose the quick option... :D
