I had a 2004 f250 with the looney tune and at wide open throttle it cleaned up very well.

Now I have an 07 F350 w/ Looney and at wide open throttle it is actually very smokey. Looks like I have bigger injectors smokey. Drives and shifts great... just smokey.

I had a cold start/idle issue (didnt want to shift, ran like sh*t) but that cleared up with the new tune. no start/idle issues at all now.

Do you guys think the tune covered up a sticky injector or ficm issue?

Just trying to figure out if im going to get stranded on the side of the road.

Thanks
Don

Yes, the injection pressure is usually higher on the tunes and can sometimes mask issues. It wouldn't hurt to have the batteries tested and test the FICM though, pretty easy to do. I doubt it's something that would strand you, but it could happen.

Hhmmm
I tuned back to stock the other day to trailer a car and the truck smoked a bit at cold idle. Batteries where low due to leaving the sct on (learned to power it down when parked for a few days).
Truck doesn't smoke any more than it should when the batteries are good for sure. Now wondering if i have sticky injectors again.
