Looking like i'll have Minotaur up and running sometime next week(or i'm hoping anyways). Been spending the past couple days just reading and bookmarking a few threads, and i'm to the point where my head feels like its going to explode and i can't see straight. LOL

Throughout all this i think the biggest thing that is scaring me at this point, is messing with the wrong tables or making a mistake somewhere, and screwing something up.

So i guess my question is, what should i NOT do to prevent windowing my block, cracking pistons, etc..?

Um, tuning your truck? Jk.

I dont know other.than taking a known, good tune copying it and then tweaking it.

Thats my plan, gonna start with small tweaks at first. I just don't wanna screw up a table that adds a ton of timing, i go make a test run, and BAM.

Leave the timing tables alone to start with and work on ICP and pulsewidth.
I taught myself to tune for the most part and just make small adjustments and if you hear a rattle under throttle back out of it and change the tune

What "tune" are you going to use to go off of?? Just one of the tunes that comes with the kit?

The first three table I would mess with would be the ICP table, PW table and the Mass fuel table. I would get these all in place where you need them to be before you ever start messing with timing.

You will want to lower your ICP to be around 450 to 500 @ a Idle to get it to run smooth. The ICP table will need a lot of adjustment to get it just right. The same with the PW table. The mass fuel not as much if you get you PW set up right. BUT the mass fuel is nice for helping to pull fuel out down low to keep smoke down or gone.

You will have fun!!! And never take you base tune (or stock) and over write it.

IDK what tune i'll start off of. Main goal is to write 4 tunes, a sled pull tune, a farm/tow tune, a street tune, then a drag tune. Probably just start with the base PHP tunes and work off em.

I personally would not use his base tunes. Unless that is if he sends you a couple that are base tunes for the 250/200. Other whys you would be better off starting with the stock tune. Plus then you will know what is changed in the tuning over the factory tuning.

But hey that is just my opinion. Do what ever feel best for you. Never overright the base tune you use. that way you can always go back to it and look at it.

All good points.

Got the burner and all that in the mail today, now just gotta get ahold of Bill or somebody to get me set-up, which is proving to be fairly difficult at this point...
