No charge...

Hello. We installed a new alternator and new batteries on a 2001 7.3. We are not getting any charge out of the back of the alternator. Have had it bench tested and it tests fine. Fuses all seem to be good under hood and inside. Any idea's as to why it works fine on the bench but not on the truck?? Thanks!

most of the bench tests don't test bad on the alternators on our trucks. Mine tested good when it was really bad. have the run it back to back tests and you may be able to get a fail on it.

Same here, bad alternator tested perfect on bench.

Is the ecm functioning properly? Make sure the control plug pins are making proper contact.
