NO START?!?!?!

Ok so went to lunch started truck started fine jay like normal got home ate pizza and drank some sweet tea. Went out to go back to work no start doesn't turn over nothing! Chip is still tight on PCM, good batteries. When I turn the key gp light comes on like normal all that jazz. But when I turn the key to start just clicks and then nothing at all!
What should I check?
I'm so confused but running great no problems sense I did new gp's now otta nowhere no start!
Help!

starter...check your connections. Try tapping on it, if tapping on it makes it start, might be time for a new starter.

Bad connection somewhere. Starters usually give diminishing performance when they go....

cross the solenoid with a screw driver and see if it turns over.

Mine did this 2 summers ago and when i pulled the starter off the solenoid plastic type end just crumbled away! replaced solenoid and been fine ever since.

Ok ya I was told to give it a tap with a hammer, I'll try it when I get home.
Why would it do that it's just a year old?

That doesnt matter. If you cycle the starter often it could be worn. Or it might be cheap parts. My stocker made it 230k. My buddies got 100k and is on no3. Get er tested.

Ok well got home started right up didn't have to do anything gonna keep a hammer in it just incase! Lol
Should I still get it tested?

Next time if it happens, see if it will start in Neutral.

Is your shifter sloppy?

There are 2 torx screws that are common to loosen up and cause issue.
