Went to leave for work and truck started fine but had no throttle. Turned it off and back on a few times and tried messing with the tps but didn't change anything. Came home from work and it had throttle again. No cel illuminated but haven't got a chance to pull codes yet. Thinking it's the tps going/gone bad. Anyone had this happen or any input?

It does either sound like the idle validation switch, which you could pull the pedal assembly and clean liberally with electronics cleaner.

Another possibility could be the wiring to the OD switch is chaffed usually you end up with a blown fuse as well though in that situation, easy enough to inspect that too.

My truck had this problem when I first purchased it almost 3 years ago. Changed tps no fix...I ended up buying a used pedal assymbly (at time Ford had a back order) installed it been going good ever since. Mine threw the ses light tho with tps code...

Bump this up. Did it again today and gauges aren't working no wts light but usually it will start after sitting a while.

It's been doing weird stuff lately, I figured it may be pcm or gem. The other day it was idleing and killed itself but started right back up. It's more of an annoyance that it happens.
