Purchased an 08 F250 with a need for an EGR replacement (or so I thought).
Towed it from DFW to Austin and found the engine was hydrolocked.
Found replacement engine. Once installed found the radiator leaked and was the catalyst for the original engine hydrolocking.
Replaced radiator.
Original engine had Edge Evolution CTS Race tuner on it, but at the recommendation of removing the EGR completely, I found that I needed a different tuner.
Sold the Edge, went with SCT's X4 and a tune from Bare Knuckles Diesel in DFW (very good dudes!). Total tune was $500, which works, but will replace with a Minimaxx in the next year or two.
Truck (named Luna by my little girls) now runs great and I look forward to learning how I can get 20+ mpg as I peruse this knowledge base.
