OBS 4x4 Front axle weight

Does anyone know their front axle weight on an OBS 7.3 CCSB, or any OBS 4x4?

With the discussion on spring rates lately, i'm doing a little research on weight and spring rates.

I have an 04 SD 4x4 to drive for a few days and I love the ride. It weighs 4,600 on the front axle.

Anyone know what a complete D60 weighs?

The published spring rates are for the springs themselves, not including the tires and axle assy.

The D60 in my 95 weighs about 500-550 lbs with linkages but without wheels/tires. Or are you wanting to know the weight with the truck attached?

Actually that is what I wanted to know because a little known fact is that spring rates don't include the axle, just the weight above the axle.
So if a SD weighs 4,600 on the front at the scale, and the axle with tires and wheels weighs 600lbs, then the springs are carrying 4,000. Of course you have to build in your load capacity, but you can see that we don't need 5,200 springs.

are you looking for weight with or without springs, steering linkages, wheels and tires? I have one in pieces out in my shop so can get you a weight relatively easilly.
