Does anyone know of a write up on installing gauges on an OBS? Did a quick search but couldn't find much. I'm installing Isspro EV1s on my 97, just not sure which wires to tie into, etc.

it's been a long time since I did mine, what questions in particular are you wondering about?, what gauges and what kind of gauges do you have? (electric vs mechanical, etc)

When I had the EV1's in my 96 I tapped wires at the back of the fuse panel for power illumination. I never did a write up of the install because nobody seemed to want one. I can take a look later and tell you which wires I grabbed if you'd like.
Mount the amplifier boxes behind the kick panel. I was able to tuck them in there out of sight for a very clean factory looking install.

If you could, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.

I had these on my 03 but i wrecked it back in January so I pulled these off so now I'd like to install them on my 97. They're Isspro EV1, pyro, boost and tranny temp.

i did ev2's but for the common power and ground there is a yellow wire about 10 gauge or so i tapped into for power and i ran a ground right to the aluminum sub frame under the dash. the ev2's are self contained though so i dont know what else you have to run for them i can take pics if it would help

for tapping into power, I have used the fuse tap system, it takes the old fuse out then you install a special holder and reinstall old fuse. Then you had a slot for a second fuse and a wire to run your accessories, works pretty well. I tapped into the running lights for my lights on my gauges, but I don't remember what color they were.

Finally remembered to check....
For power I tapped the red wire with a yellow trace.
For Illumination I tapped the blue wire with a red trace.
The ground wire I just put behind one of the bolts on the e-brake assembly.

Pulling the flasher out of the back side of the fuse panel makes it a bit easier to work back there until you get your connections made, then just plug it back in. I used T-taps so I could easily unplug them if needed. Just make sure you tap the fused side of the wire just in case... a little extra protection doesn't hurt.
