Saving this one from the wrecker. Its a 97 extended cab shortbed, hit a pole dead center, did 0 damage to the frame but tore up the sheetmetal. I'm guessing the kid didn't have insurance or only had liability as he didn't turn the truck into insurance and sold it instead. Buddy of mine bought it, pulled the powertrain out, and then i got whats left. For a northern truck it has the typical rust, but overall in decent shape. No dents or dings on the bed so i think patch panels will take care of it. A set of flares would hide all the rust. Cab is starting to get a little rust in the door jambs but the rockers are still solid. Doors are 100% rust free but the fronts are creased, i think they are fixable. Frame is pretty damn clean for a northern truck as well.

Heres a pile of goodies i got a few weeks back before i even thought bout buying the truck. Perfect OEM doors and fenders, and a pretty clean PSD core support. I also have a hood here, so pretty much everything to put the front end back together.

And the donor we should be picking up tomorrow. E99, 4wd, 7.3, ZF-6. Engine is stock but it has a like-new Southbend dual disc. Plan to rob the drivetrain for this truck, and everything else will be getting sold.

So basic rundown:
100% rust free and good paint, i want to keep it toreador red as i love the color, but will probably do a two tone. Gonna yank the 250/2's out of my truck to throw in. I have most of the stuff for a DIY gen 3. Should have a 467.7 here next week and already have a T4 mount. Interior will probably be black or grey, decent sound system and i'll go with racing style seats. Tinted windows, lower it, probably get some decent 33x12.5 AT's. Ditch the rear tank, run a sumped front tank and full fuel system, and a few other things to drop weight. Goal is to be 500+hp and somewhere south of 6k lbs. :D
