Hey Everyone,
I have a 97 Extended Cab Long Bed 4x4 that I got not to long ago.
It is my first diesel truck and Im looking to add a few things on to it.
I have already added a custom intake with a NAPA Gold filter(6637 to be exact), and i have a 4" Turbo Back Diamond Eye exhaust on the way from Performance Truck Products.
1 of my buddies asked me what kind of HP I was looking to get and I asked if 400 was an outlandish number and he said it wasnt.
So the question is what mods do I need to make that kind of HP and will it be to the risk of my rebuilt transmission??
Any info would be helpful.
Thanks

Set of 200/30 injectors and a fuel system and good tunes. Will get you that power. You can upgrade the turbo after. You can run the injectors on stock fuel system if it's health As far as Trans goes I would suggest up grading the converter from the stock one and put a Transgo shift kit in it and that will help handle the power for awhile

To get 400 you would need good tunes, a turbo, HPOP, and 238cc injectors tuned down.

All of which if your interested we can get for you.:D

Couldnt he get it with II's, Oil, Turbo, and good Tunes? I Think I am pretty close with 160/100's, H2E, Adrenaline, Swamps tunes and a BTS.

Yes he can! If you are looking to get 400 RWHP and stay somewhere around there I would sell you stage 2's with a 100% nozzle, with the 200/30 you can make about the same power but if you want to ever go "larger in the future" you would still have to change out the nozzle.

True but they also are quite a bit more $$$. If youre going to go big you know it usually. I plan on going bigger eventually but its one of those things I just want the max power for my current setup that it can handle. Because whenever you want to step up a level, everything has to be stepped up...

Thanks for all the info guys.
Really gives me alot to think about as it appears that there are alot of ways to go with a truck llike mine.
I did get my exhaust in the mail today so guess whats getting done after I get off work at 930 tomorrow night??!!
Hopefully that new UNRESTRICTED DOWNPIPE will help my HP and Low End out a bit.
Thanks again.
