First off I contacted Gearhead and they said this is normal but I still wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this.

Long story short I had gearhead roll back my strategy due to horrible fuel economy. The new strategy is vxcf5h5, the odd part is when idling the vgt will set around 7-15% but if I push the brake in it goes up to 60-70%. I just feel like this is not normal.

It should sound really throaty like that with almost no turbo whistle until you tap the throttle. People do it all the time if they hate the sound of the vgt vanes at idle.

My mileage is sh$tty as well. I can't get above 16 tuned for whatever reason
Stock tunes w/ KC 63.5 I can squeeze out 18ish.

Did your milage increase at all w/ the rollback??

No it dropped about .5. I have yet to get over 13 with my truck. It's pretty frustrating when guys are getting 15-16. He'll I would be happy there.

Do you know what your main fuel pressure? A dying LPFP can cause low mileage. I went from 10 mpg to 12 with a new pump.

A lot of the mph people get is all in the driver. I get 10-12 with my truck. I've been able to get 15-16 out of it same driving but talk about slow go. Shifting at 1800-2100 traffic is faster. But lots of people do that and get the mileage.

That's the way Matt tuned it. Nothing wrong with the way it is.
