Offset/Backspace for OBS

Want to run 16"s and 35"s. Looking for them to stick out maybe 1.5/2". Tires will most likely be 13.50s.

What do i need to go with ?

4.25 back spacing. I have 17's with 13.50 and a 4.25bs and they stick out just enough to keep the law off my a$$ .

I been wanting to get 16x10s with probably 33x12.50s like classicIIs and MT-ATZ. I think this would be a good set up im guessing i should go with 4.25 backspace as well. How far would they stick out? Even 2" i wouldnt mind but it would prob be safe just to stay around an 1" or so.

Law doesnt matter to me.

If you go with a 10 wide wheel, and want a mild stance, I would go with a 0 to a -12 Offset. 0 Offset should give you a 1" to 1 1/4" stance beyond a fenders.

So a -12 would give me like 2" or so ?

-12 Will push it out a half inch. On a 10" wheel a -12 offset is a 4.50" backspacing

Ah, i thought backspacing and offset were completely different. So offset controls back spacing, or vice versa. From what im seeing anyway.

All examples are based on a 10" wheel wide wheel:

25 offset = 6" backspacing
12 offset = 5.50" backspacing
0 offset = 5" backspacing
-12 offset = 4.50" backspacing
-25 offset = 4" backspacing

I might be going with a bigger wheel.

I get what you are saying though. This helps me understand a lot, never understood it before lol.
