oil change intervals

How many miles are you guys running on an oil change?
It's probably just me being paranoid but I'm used to changing oil at 5000 miles, but the 6.4 owner manual says 10,000. I did the mods in my signature 5000 miles ago and I put fresh oil and filter on then and was going to change it again but I would like some input first. I'm still learning with the 6.4.

I would not go over 5k but that's just me. We change all the trucks here at the dealer at 5k..

Yeah 5k miles at most. We ran full synthetic and 10k intervals in one of our trucks for 100k miles and the rockers and pushrods were shot at 160k when it got studs. So we are going back to 5k

Was the truck deleted or stock? That makes a big difference

I use Valvoline extreme blue full synthetic and change every 3-5000 miles. My truck sits quite a bit, so that's why I change it so often.

Why would sitting have anything to do with it?

my last change was at 8500 miles. blackstone test came back good. ill be changing oil around those intervals for the life of the truck unless theres a big change in driving pattern and or mods.
