Driving my truck today and got in it very little and all of a sudden it white smokes from under the truck and started running like crap lucky for me I was pretty much home so I got it in the drive way at a stop it is skipping and jumping and still poring white smoke out of the exhaust. Jumped out and looked at ccv and it's normal and oil is dripping from passenger side of engine? Any ideas guys iv checked the turbo is seems fine and like I said cc is its normal amount. From what I have found from looking under it it looks like the oil is coming from the valve cover or in that area thanks for any info or help

I would guess you blew the valve cover harness out, that's where the oil is coming from. If so....you cracked a piston.

Remove the oil fill cap and see if it has excessive puffs of blow by.

Bad day

probably blew the glow plug harness out and thats why there is oil leaking from there.

Cracked piston it sounds like

Cracked pistons usually make excessive cc pressure blowing out the glow plug harness. I hope that's not the case for you but there is a good chance that's the problem

Edit
Holy crap there was no replies when I started typing using my sons nabi tablet.

No I looked at it it's just a 1" hose dumped I still have my normal amount of blow by coming out but like said I guess if it's pucking out of the valve cover gasket then I wouldn't see it in my ccv

Can you take a video of the blowby?

Kinda strage, could be a turbo as well but usually that will run down the back of the engine and out of the tailpipe.

Replace them all with delipped and coated ones. Morgan at Midwest diesel can help you out.

could be a hung injector... we've got one here right now that's barreling white smoke out the exhaust and missing, etc. slight knock that kinda comes and goes. Had horrible blowby until we drained 6 gallons of diesel/oil out of the crank case. With fresh oil, it passes relative compression on the IDS and blowby has ceased

Has a major contribution/power balance issue. We thought it had a cracked piston at first, but it's looking like an injector

will report back
