Oil question - Amsoil 5w30

I'm going to run 5w30 Amsoil when I swap. Anyone else out there running in theirs?

I am. When I first swapped it, I noticed my EGT's wouldn't cool off as fast as when I was running Rotella T6 5w40 but after some break in time my EGT's drop off just like they use to. Starts great in the cold and warms up a lot faster. Also I don't know if you have a tick or not but it cured my tick problem. I would love to keep running it but the price in Canada for it is ridiculous ($17 a quart!) so I think I'm gonna try Mobil Delvac 5w30 or 0w30 next. Or the Motorcraft 0W30 next... I haven't decided yet lol

I bought my truck with 95k put Amsoil in at 100k I've since tuned and deleting right now. Nothing negative to report. Talk to SmokinStroker on here he'll get you hooked up

How are guys pulling a sample from your oil? Are you getting a special plug on the pan to allow you go get just what you need?

I never sample my oil so I can't help you there.

Just swapped oil with the 5w30 HDD from Amsoil. I can tell you it purrs like a kitten now. MUCH, MUCH quieter at throttle and idle. Gave it a quick spin to get up to temp and make sure I cycled it through good to check the dipstick. I'm very happy at this point compared to factory line 10w30 blend (I think that's what they put in).

I plan to reset the fuel econo guage tomorrow to see if there is any noticeable increase on this tank. Same winter fuel here at this point.
