Looking at the sinister, bdp, Hellmann, and tsd sumps..any inputs on those of you who have them installed and how great the kits are..the wife wants to get me one for my birthday so I figured I'd do a little research on a few different ones..the sinister kit looks really nice

I've got a hellmans on mine you can put it on without dropping the tank but i did anyways. I like it but thats the only one I've dealt with.

I've also got a Hellman, it has a new updated ring to make it possible to install without dropping the tank. However, I'd drop the tank to make sure there is no debris from drilling the holes, it's not too hard to drop at all.

I got one sitting in my garage waiting to go in from Alligator Performance. They are all pretty much the same. The one thing I liked about the Beans unit is that they have the low profile one, which may or may not actually make a difference...but, I didn't like their studs and nuts exposed on the outside. Completely a personal preference there, because I don't see why they would be any better or worse. All of them pretty much are able to be done without dropping the tank, but for cheap insurance I am still going to drop the tank to check it out and do the harpoon mod while I'm in there...

Well my bed only has 3 bolts in it so the bed is coming off again when I do this so the tank will be thoroughly inspected again definitely..thanks for the inputs..I figured theyre all pretty much the same..I like the sinister kit..probably leaning toward that although I like the Hellmanns sump too..that's the original sump I was interested in.

I have an XDP sump and it does the job. I'm satisfied with it. I also recommend dropping the tank or lifting the bed.

I have a Hellman on my truck and haven't had problems with it yet. I dont think you can go wrong with any one of them though.

will be definitely lifting the bed off and inspecting inside - does the other kits come with all the accessories like the sinister kit? and whats yalls thoughts on valving it before the hose connection...seems like a good idea to me incase you have any line issues or tank issues, it can be valved off at the sump..

I didn't use a valve during my install, I just wasn't prepared. I really want to hard line the sump to the AD100.

If I were to install a valve I would give myself two feet of line, mount the valve to the frame rail, make a secondary "drain line" that would attach on the output side.

I have a SS braided line from the sump to the AD2 just in case I run something over at the farm or in a pasture.
