OK guys so I'm buying a 2001 f150 ext with a short bed. Long story short, what I want to do is make it a dually and put a 7.3 power stroke in it. So I was thinking about getting maybe a wrecked 99-2001 f250 dually or SD dually and taking everything except the body and bed. I would than put the 2001 f150 body and bed on it. It would be a one of a kind and be pretty cool. I also want the flares for the dually to be more round like a dodge bed instead of boxy like a ford. Please give me some tips and tricks and some advice. I'm really looking to use this to help start my "business"

I understand being different and doing things out of the norm... But this project sounds like a complete waste of time, energy, and money.

I'd start with a f250 extended cab short bed diesel, convert it to a dually and run the 11+ dually flares, direct bolt 20's or shaved 22's with a 33 or 35 tire, and use the motor, trans, suspension to showcase your work instead of building the bastard child project you're wanting to.

Totally agree!
