With a large non vgt single like Randy's running, your not going to have instant spool up or the strong low end torque that compounds produce. No way around that. All that can be done is good custom tuning a constantly swapping stalls to see which one works best for your charger. Even my ball bearing charger doesn't like to spool at 70mph on the highway. The charger needs high RPMs to spool to its full potential. Which will probably be from 3500-3800 from what I can see. At 2500 you'll see boost start to come on as long as your in the throttle a good bit. The key to making this setup is smoke free tuning like Matt is doing. An 80mm charger isn't the best for daily driving. If someone were to ask me if I'd recommend it for the street, I would tell them to stick to a 72mm at most, or a properly sized set of gated compounds. I myself like how a single makes torque so brutally. I can easily drive my truck on the street with no problems, but spool up just isn't that impressive and the truck isn't my daily driver. If it was my only means of transportation, I'd pull the single off and go a different route.
