Hello all. Have a question on my 2011 f-250. Long story short I kept it stock and was good. But at 64,000 miles the Def tank needs to be replaced and conveniently for ford while it still has power train and emissions warranty the tank isn't covered and they want $850 to replace it. They have denied every issue I've had with this truck so the warranty is useless to me and I will be ********.

Question is, mini max or *******? I'm looking for simple install with trans tuning. Not looking for crazy power numbers, just reliability and ease of use. I'm leaning towards the ******* because it looks simpler to update and use. Any thoughts on the quality of the tunes/software and ease of use? I drive the truck daily and tow with it. It's my baby and I want it reliable without the emissions crap. Thanks.

No opinions from anyone? I should mention this is a competition truck that competes in events where you hook it up to a trailer and try to make it to a destination in a reasonable time without breaking or using alot of fuel.

I'm happy with my mini maxx but haven't tried any other tuning on this truck. They were on sale for $799 a few weeks ago on amazon. Back up to $899 now.

Thanks for the reply, is the mini max difficult to set up and update? Or fairly simple? How is the trans tuning? One thing that isn't clear to me with the mini max is does it come with decent tunes or do you have to find them and download? Maybe that's SCT I'm thinking of. I prefer just canned tunes that are good to searching and trying Different ones.

I would go with h&s. I had it on my 6.4 and lived it. UPDATING was easy but that was before all this EPA stuff. My brother has it in his 11 and canned tunes and it runs good been delted for 50k and no problems

I just did my 2012 couple months ago and went with h&s . Came with SD card already loaded. Plug it in and install tunes, then do your *** & *** work and enjoy. I don't think there will be h&s factory updates anymore so unless your not happy with the original tunes, shouldn't be an issue. I'm very happy with mine. I just went with ****** pipe and full *** ******, kept factory tip and it's not annoyingly loud or drone whole driving.

Straight forward install. Not so easy to update as they aren't in business anymore.

Update it once and forget it. You will always have the newest version. Or just get the MCC and some others tunes and never look back. Updating aftermarket tunes is pretty easy if you need to get a revision done.

On the 15-16 do they still have exhaust brake active? I've been following the $parta-n del. thread and my understanding is they haven't worked that out yet.

I will be looking for the same once warranty is up on my '15 f250
