Ok I encountered a little problem. Started the truck up this evening to go to work and had a cel with a deep exhaust note. Wasn't thinking but cleared the cel without getting the number. After clearing the cel the exhaust note got deeper. Drove a few blocks and could hear the turbo really spooling. Looked at the Spartan and was reading around 40psi at maybe half throttle. at idle I had a negative boost pressure at idle. At a little more throttle the boost reading was around 60! Power was reduced off low end as well. Looked over the engine bay and nothing seemed to be out of place. All boots were on. I dont know if im crazy but i thought the down pipe looked a little loose but no soot was present or smoke. I forgot to mention the cel was exhaust related. After the truck idled a little bit the loud low exhaust note went away and I had a 1-2 psi boost at idle which is normal for my truck. Any ideas? With the wind chill its around 8 degrees or so here. Truck has all basic mods, Spartan 310, and an elite 71mm.

Sticky VGT maybe? I've never heard of that on the 6.4 but I don't know what else would cause that.

Any guide to where its located and or a part number? Thanks guys. Would the ebp sensor cause it to boost that high though?

That is a ebp to low code. It causes the the computer to demand more back pressure. This will drive your turbos harder. Problem is the high back pressure will damage the engine. Change your sensor. Check the tube. Its the easiest thing next to changing the oil.

Rivets are the new duct tape.

well unplugged the ebp sensor and I'm going to say that is it. Going to order a new one and that should fix it.
