Did I just lose my fuel pump? Was on my way to get firewood with trailer in tow. Sitting on side of road enjoying view trying to decide what to tear into first.

Yes sir...

Had that code on a truck i was working on, pump would come on...but wasnt doing its job. I bet if you look at the fuse box, the one controlling the pump will be blown. You can replace it and see how far that gets you, but in my experience it will continue to blow that fuse until you swap the pump out

Yep you called it. Maxi fuse 19 in underhood fuse box. Put a new one in and it snapped immediately. Good thing I pulled all the fuses from my OBS before I scrapped it and threw them in the spare parts bag.

And the odd thing is, sometimes you will put one in and it will allow you to drive 10 miles then go bad again.

Pump is probably bad.

BUT

Let me also say, its possible youve got a bare wire somewhere thats shorting out. Ive had that one tick me off for a month straight, if you can check the wiring harness to and from the pump before you spend the money

It was the pump, put spare in, replaced fuse, key on, pump came on and truck fired right up. Now I'm paranoid though, the Walbro seems noisy now. I know it used to whine at key on before, but now I can hear it all the time. I'm also worried the AD isn't working. So I'll be spending the rest of the day troubleshooting them. Yay.

Thanks for the help Croak.

Update.
Did a little investigating and the AD fuse was blown ( it's a old style glass fuse????? took me an hour to dig one up since I've gotten rid of all my old junk, wife had to remind me of the old camper lol). Replaced fuse, pump came on, then blew fuse again. Replaced once more, same thing. Already checked the AD harness and pretty sure it's good so not sure what else would cause the fuse to keep blowing. Going to dig up manual and see what it says.

So, that means the Walbro has been sucking fuel through the AD for who knows how long. I'm sure that's what killed it. So now I get to pull the AD and bypass it till I figure out wth is wrong with it. If it needs a new pump, I'll prob turn it into a filter head for my fuel bowl delete, if possible, and move on.

Bummer I was hoping those Air Dogs were more durable and a better alternative to FASS. How many miles on it Frank?

Check & make sure it isn't the AD harness Frank. My buddy replaced the pump on his air dog & it left him stranded the next day. He started wiggling the wire around with key on & it would come in & cut out. Replaced the wiring harness & no issues since. Not to say the pump might not be bad as well.

Little less than 50K on the AD Tom.

Been reading the manual and installation instructions. Troubleshooting doesn't cover popped fuses. Looked in my log book and filter last changed 23K ago, but that still shouldn't cause fuse to pop. Going to check out Pureflows website faq's. Manual does say if the pump goes out that it has a bypass, but I would imagine that is suction activated. Probably give Pureflow a call on Monday. Nearest parts store is 30 miles, and I doubt they have the filter anyway, and prob wont be open tomorrow. Besides, I doubt the filter is the issue.

Interestingly, it did in fact operate (at least I could hear it making noise) temporarily on the first fuse for roughly one to two seconds. Second fuse popped right away.

BTW, a certain "angry" :D supplier/builder of very popular turbo mounts and fuel systems from OR PM'd me with a better price than ebay on the Walbro.
