So i am painting the interior of my headlights tonight, was able to get gem green metallic paint to match the body color. Other than the paint my wally world parts list is the following:

1000 grit sand paper to buff up/remove chrome
Some sort of silicone to reseal the headlight
Masking tape

Does this seem right?
the youtube videos say 220 degrees for 6-8 minutes and then use a razor blade or sharp object to help break the seal.

I would order some butyl tape to reseal the headlights instead of RTV, easier to work with in my opinion. You could also use oven cleaner spray to remove the chrome on the pieces that you are painting.

On the sets I've done in the past I've used scotch bright pads to skuff up the chrome before painting.

excatly all i had to do. Kept the insides of the housing reflectors chrome so just painted the outer edges. Ended up putting a clear over them and ended up darkening them more then i liked but i think it still looks decent. Ended up sealing them up with black rtv and used ratchet straps to hold them together for about 24 hrs no issues with leaking as ive been to the pressure wash plenty of times now
