Painting KR steps

Has anyone tried painting the tan king ranch steps? Wanting to paint them to match the truck if I get a set just unsure how it would stick?

I wouldnt paint them. It wouldnt stick well on such a heavily used surface.

I would however have them covered in Linex or Rhino liner.

I was going to suggest painting them with something like Krylon fusion, and then right in the middle where feet step paint it with herculiner or similar.
