Tonight I went take my truck for a drive and it wouldnt start no wait to start light on, no fuel pump running, no smoke out the exhaust. After checking the batteries I checked the fuses. I found fuse #24 blown after replacing it the truck fired up and ran great. But I still need to find out why the fuse burn out. Im going to work on it tomorrow in the light to see what I can find, but I was wondering if any of you guys had issue and what you found to fix it.

Fuse #24 in the battery junction box powers your PCM relay. This relay powers the PCM, and sends power to the GPR, IAH relay, fuel pump relay, transmission and brake pressure switch.

I would do a quick visual of all these components and wires to see if you can find an obvious problem.

Good chance your fuel bowl heater is shorting out which is blowing the fuse. You can unplug it on the back of the fuel bowl. You can fix it so it won't short out, but you also really shouldn't need it plugged in, especially where you are.

:whs:dosconnect it until you can replace it.

Incorrect.

This fuse does not supply power to the fuel heater.

Would a bad fuel pump cause the fuse 24 to blow. I cycle the key a few times blew a fuse. After disconneting the fuel pump, I cycle the key a few time the fuse didnt blow. So could the fuel pump be my issue, I haven't seen any bad spots in the fuel pump wiring.

This is not a fuel pump fuse, it only supply's power to the trigger side of the fuel pump relay. The fuel pump cannot create any load to this particular circuit.

It hangs off the brake master cylinder. I bet this is your issue.

Sorry come to find out my brother didn't disconnect the fuel bowl, once I did that I haven't had a problem since. What sucks is I just rebuilt my fuel bowl and didn't see a problem with the fuel heater, but I looked in there yesterday and my heat rod is broke off the flat piece

Where can I find a ipr pigtail? I dont have a old valve cover wiring harness to use and my ebpv connector is burnt so I cant use it. What is the part number for the ford dealer?
Do they carry pigtails at auto zone?
