Well its that debated game once again. Im putting add-a leafs on my truck so I can fit some bigger tires under her. Im lookin at 35s on a 17 cuz well, no money for new rims yet. I was wondering what you guys like for tires? I was looking for something aggressive that can throw a little mud and are fairly quiet because well who doesn't like listening to their truck? Im also up here in snowy Michigan so I need something for the snow. Any ideas guys?

I have the reg St cooper and it does amazing on snow and did pretty well in the mudsling. I'm looking at the toyo at 2 but I don't believe it would be the best mud tire.

The duratracs are pretty quiet overall till they get down to about 25% then they get a little noisy but nothing unbearable by any means. From the guys I have talked to they are seeing anywhere from 30-50k miles out of them. I am at about 60% and have put a hard 20k miles on them incuding some burnouts.

Maybe a little, but overall no. There are alot worse tires out there for throwing stones thats for sure. The Duratracs are supposedly only like 1 of 5 light truck tires that are actually snow rated. I used 4 wheel drive once last winter and only about 1/4 to 1/2 as much in wet ground/fields as I would have with some other popular tires. I wont be switching anytime soon to a different tire thats for sure.

I think Im sold. I have Federal Couragias right now and they throw alotta stones I gotta get my fenders and bottom of my doors painted because of them. They are also really loud and most people always say how loud they are. They arent my favorite tire but they are extremely aggressive Ive had her to the frame in mud and she was still goin.

I have General Grabbers currently, and have had Nitto Trail Grappler MT's, and Toyo MT's before. Not sure how any of them would do in snow, but the Grabbers are my favorite by far. Smooth and quiet on road, and did pretty well offroad. Didn't pick up nearly as many rocks and stones as my other MT's would either.

Grabbers are becoming a snow plow truck tire of choice with some of my buddies. your other two are also excellent. terra grapplers are better in the slush then the trail grapplers tho

So is it safe to say the grabbers perform well in snow for not having any tread siping?

Poor snow traction is one thing keeping me from trying these out.

I got the Duratracs also they are awesome tires. I used to lived in the sierras so they saw snow 6 months outta the year. I would suggest a set of studded Duratracs
