Has anybody ever tried spraying their mirrors with the black plasti dip? Mine are faded and i wanna make em look like new again without having to sand em or make them smooth. Thought this stuff would contour to the textured finish. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Its a good idea, i did my Banshee plastics with it and will be doing some bits and pieces on the truck as well. Like he ^ said, if you don't like the way it turns out, it peels right off.

Since the bodywork on my bed is annoying...I have been seriously toying with the idea of plasti dipping my whole truck for the next couple years until I can get a brand new paint job.

Kinda thought it would look good flatt camo green with everything blacked out.

Have you tried using a heat gun to try and remove the faded look? You just go over it with the heat gun about an inch or so away and it makes the plastic black again.

I'm sure plasti dip would work but this way would be way easier if it works on that plastic.

This is what it did for my wiper cowl.
