Power loss after *** ******?

Hi guys/gals just got a *** ****** for my 2011 6.7 and it feels like I got a huge power loss after the ******. And by power loss I'm comparing it to the performance/street tunes on the mini maxx *** on vs *** off.

I currently have hs mini maxx tuner, afe intake, and 5" turbo back straight pipe. Anyone else ever experience this?

Also I used the search function and didn't turn anything up with my keywords.

did you retune the truck after you installed the race exhaust?

The shop was supposed to, we even talked about it when I dropped it off. I left out of town for work right after I picked it up and am out of town for 14 days. If I'm rolling at like 10mph and step on it it just sounds like a gasser with a muffler but cat removed doesn't even get loud it's so slow taking off, if I brake and accelerate then let off it screams through 1-2 and hits 3rd and same thing stops throwing me into the seat. The truck won't even do a burnout now either.

I can post acceleration vids tonight when I get off work

i would try re installing the deleet tune. Any codes present? Does it say reduced engine power on the dash?


Also, go to menu> show settings and if it says "present" beside emissions, thats your issue. If it says "removed" then its something else.

When you say reinstall the codes what do you mean? Like go from performance to street or reflash the mini maxx? And no codes on mini maxx for engine or trans and no reduced engine power on dash.

i said reinstall the tune. menu>install download>select vehicle type & follow the prompts. make sure when it asks if emissions equipment is present or removed, select removed.

Posting up a picture of the "show settings" screen would tell us a lot. For example, which tune is installed and whether the tuner is deleet capable or not.

Oh ok gotcha I didn't mess around in the tuner all that much just used what they set up on it and changed tunes and look at settings I could change on it. I'll reinstall when I get back to my hotel tonight and let you know if anything changes. My shop is normally good about finer details not being overlooked but if it was I'll just let em know, also it should be the right one because when I set up the appointment to get the tuner installed I told them I needed a *** deletable tuner because I was getting rid of it as soon as it started giving me problems.

So they didn't unplug egr so I unplugged it and I reinstalled tuner and it runs like a raped ape!
I didn't even think I was driving the same truck it was such a big difference! Shops been notified and I'm getting a $200 refund :thumbup:

no need to unplug anything with the H&S tuner...

On a 2011? All the posts I was looking up yesterday evening say to unplug, even h&s commented on it that they were updating their instructions to start unplugging.

i have tuned many 6.7s with no ill effects of not unplugging. Why expose your connectors to corrosion and future potential issues?

The egr is getting ******d in a week and a half anyway I'm not too worried anymore just glad I got the power back from what ever fixed it by doing those 2 things. Thanks again for the help.

The H&S instructions showed to unplug the EGR. 2 orange plugs, one on driver side and one on passenger side when I used the H&S mini maxx on my 2012.
