Hi all! I'm glad to be on powerstrokearmy.com after a fiasco on powerstroke.org. I recently purchased a 2004 E350 van that has had some problems (egr cooler and oil cooler). I'm not sure why, but some of the contributors ganged up on me when I asked if BPD products are a ripoff or if the extra cost is worth a superior product. I know now that BPD products are worth it.

In a different thread started by me, everyone jumped on my case because I was asking about accounts of rolling coal and getting caught by the law. These guys have a pack mentality and go out of their way to be rude. I have an Acura TSX and a Triumph Speed Triple motorcycle, both of which I routinely contribute to on forums. I have never experienced such rudeness in my life as I did on powerstroke.org. Has anyone else had similar experiences? Thanks!

I like it here as well. But the dog pile mentality follows suit everywhere now a days unfortunately. Don't roll coal on the streets, please.

I'm not about rolling coal, my van is for work purposes only and bone stock aside from exhaust and a drop in K&N air filter. I was asking about guys that got caught rolling coal and the legal implications as a matter of conversation. The dog pile mentality quickly ensued. I just don't get why being rude is in fashion, particularly on powerstroke.org.

Respectfully, it has a lot to do with your approach. "Bulletproof Diesel products worth the money?" vs "Bulletproof Diesel....ripoff" For good reason, BPD has a cult-like following over there.

Starting a thread on rolling coal, regardless of what your intentions were, will paint a huge bullseye on your back on almost any "decent" diesel forum.

All that being said, another way to put yourself on the skyline is to bring drama from one forum over to this one. I know you weren't aware of it, and I'd recommend dropping the topic. For what it's worth, the org is about as tame as they come when it comes to Powerstroke forums.

In other words, you don't want to become the wrong kind of famous at Powerstroke Army.

I think the reason for the level of hostility I received is because powerstroke.org, including the moderators, are nothing more than corporate shills for BPD. They advertise on their website for Christ-sake...pretty obvious where their loyalty lies. I made no accusations towards BPD other than they are much more expensive than the competition...which they are. I asked a reasonable question and expected reasonable answers...which I did not get. I forwarded info given to me by a Ford-Certified mechanic as to his experience with BPD and was crucified for doing so. I was just seeing if anyone else has experienced the blatant none-sense I experienced on powerstroke.org.

We cant discuss the legal repercussions for rolling coal? Is powerstroke.org run by a bunch of Bolsheviks in which they dictate which diesel related issues we can or cannot discuss? Is it my fault that they deduced my message incorrectly?

Theres a reason PSN and now PSA were created. Folks like us moved from each one and now reside on the Army.

No drama, no bull****, roll with the punches, and grow thick skin and you'll fit in great over here!

There's no way you're this dumb and in pre-law. If you really are a future attorney, I predict you'll be a starving artist.

Be careful. They have eyes (snitches) everywhere, and get upset very easily if you question any authority of theirs, like it matters.
the lack of performance builds is sad there. I only log in to help the 7.3 builds
and some club stuff.
This is the BEST powerstroke forum.

There you go again with the personal insults. Again, if I'm on a diesel truck website, I would assume all issues related to diesel trucks are open for discussion. Interestingly enough, I had members of powerstroke.org private message me and tell me they agreed with what I said. They didn't want to interject in the forums because they're familiar with the pack mentality/confrontational nature on .org. How about you address my points instead of being intellectually lazy and writing "you're dumb"?

Only cowards run their mouth on the internet.
