Looking for some info as I know only a few guys are running prochargers.

I Like the idea but am not too knowledgeable about the set up. I feel the procharger will be a limiting factor once the turbo starts moving lots of air, is this correct? Can high hp and tq be reached with this setup?

Please feed me some knowledge :) TIA

I had the small D1sc procharger and it never pulled vacuum with a 70mm precision charger pulling on it. pulled it down to about 5psi but never had vacuum.

So it lit the turbo almost instantly and took off from there as a big single would after being lit like normal?

Or are you saying after the procharger was wound out it dropped turbo psi to 5?

But it didn't affect the turbo psi at all? I think I remember you doing that build on the maroon truck? I followed it for a while but lost track.

If the procharger is making boost before the turbo then it is moving more air then the turbo, so it definitely isn't slowing it down.

But the procharger will run out of air before the turbo right? Then the turbo has to pull air through the procharger when it reaches its limit? Unless im not understanding something correctly

I was wondering the same thing Mudstrokin, but from how I understand what Cutting-Edge is sayin, at least with a 70mm turbo, the Procharger still had 5PSI "left", meaning it was still pushing 5PSI more then what the turbo was asking for.......if I got that right

The procharger will not build the boost pressure that a turbo will and is not load sensitive but is rpm sensitive. But sized correctly the procharger will way outflow most any turbo in air volume. As he said the procharger was still building boost against the turbo not sucking a vacuum or creating a restriction.

The D1sc is to small imo for a procharger set up unless your just keeping the stock turbo or something. But I always thought that if there is still pressure in the pipe between the procharger and the turbo then the turbo isnt pulling for air but its being fed air and compounding the pressure in that pipe. So the procharger is effecting the turbo and making it different than a big single but in a positive way. that set up made 58-60psi at WOT with 225s. might add that the turbo was t4 with .90 open housing. spooled instantly.

Does the usual set up only have air intake through the procharger or intake through the procharger joining the stock intake? I'm thinking the 2nd one wouldn't be possible as the procharger would push air out of the intake correct?
