Found a F550 with a ZF6 in it. VIN shows it to have a PTO/PTO Provision. Question, is any additional parts/mods needed remove the PTO and add a transfer case? I know about linkages and electrical. Mainly wondering about bolting it up. Seals, Stub Shaft, etc

What does adding a transfer case have to do with the PTO provision? All zfs have a PTO provision.

It is on the side of the trans. Main shaft and back half of case need to be changed on a zf to do a 4x4 swap. If that's what you're wanting to do.

On edit. Most of the time it's easier to just find a 4x4 zf to swap in.

My 6.0 has the PTO mounted behind the transmission.
Looks like a 4x4 Trans.

I cant look at the 6.4 that im interested in to see if its the same.

I could be mistaken after all. Idk, this trans doesn't look like my other.

Yea, no pto on that trans and that is a standard 2wd trans. No way on those to bolt on a transfer case with disassembling the trans.
