When I had my truck torn down about a month ago I replaced the up pipes with dark horse diesel ones and also replaced the factory pyrometer. I've noticed that now it's causing an exhaust leak. I did notice when I installed it that the center section never tightened up and still moved up and down. So I figured it would carbon itself up and not leak. I was wrong and I can still move it. So was it faulty to start with? Or should it tighten down?

Sounds like you're running out of thread in the bung before the sensor bottoms out.

Pull the sensor and see if the bottom threads are sooty. That will give you an indication if there isn't enough thread or something is wrong with the threads.
