Quick HELP on STC upgrade!!

So I'm the middle of putting on the updated fitting. Ran into two questions.

1 - do I reinstall the metal brace that went on top of the fitting before??

2 - what's this gasket for? Don't see anywhere it fits.

NO, you do NOT reinstall that bracket.... Instead, use it to set the angle of the one piece fitting... Toss out the nylon crap tools they give you....

I purposely bought that bracket solely just to use it to perfectly set the angle of the fitting...

yes thats a turbo feed gasket, it comes with the kit.. although there are still several other gaskets you need to finish the job

I've opened up a lot of these engines and only found that bracket in one engine, I can't remember what year it was but I left it out when it went back together.
