Ive been having this weird idle issue and its really starting to get annoying. When the truck gets up to temp and when im sitting at a red light or stop sign it will start to sporadically idle. Sometimes it does it and sometimes it doesn't. It will also sometimes do it in park. What are some things that will cause this?

No Check Engine Light or anything? Maybe check the IPR "tin nut" (it holds the solenoid coil on the IPR body) to make sure it is snug. Check the IPR wiring's condition and the valvecover connections. If you have a spare CPS lying around, maybe throw that in and see if anything changes. Cheers!

What exactly is it doing, like the RPM's are jumping a lot, or is it lopey? Anyway you could get a video of it so we can get a better idea of what its doing?

I just put a new ipr in it like a month ago. How do I check the wiring? Ill pull the vcs and check the connections too. My cps isn't even a year old either. I put the black one in last summer. its not lopey. The rpms jump up and down. Ill try and get a video today. Oh and no check engine light either.

The IPR wiring is part of the fuel bowl wiring harness. Sometimes fuel leaks and such can do a number on the wiring insulation causing intermittent shorts and associated problems. I would just do as good a visual inspection in that area as you can. Cheers!

Mine does that only when I am slowing down from high speeds or if I take off and and let go of the pedal. It only does it for a few sec's then it just fine but I doesn't do it all the time.

At one time my truck was doing something similar. Replacing the ICP sensor fixed the problem.

If the truck starts acting up and your in a spot where you can, pop the hood and unplug the sensor. It goes into a default setting and will continue to run. Or just unplug it and drive the truck. Shouldnt hurt anything, just be down on power.

For my truck the sensors pressure reading was going up and down even though the pressure was not. This caused the ecm to tell the hpop to increase or reduce pressure when it wasnt required causing engine rpm to change. Thats my best guess.

I was going to replace mine fire the heck of it just to see if that the problem. I have a spare one from a junk yard. Should I try that one?

I would also see if it occures in a stock setting or with the chip removed.

Tom this is happening in the stock tune. I forgot to mention that. I've been thinking about pulling the chip just to see what happens. It didn't do it before when I first put the chip in.
