Hey guys, time to replace the rear leaf packs and all 4 shocks (going with Bilstein 5100's).

Are the rear leaf packs from 99-11' interchangeable? If not, what's the differences between the two? Can someone give me a quick run-down of the spring codes of what came on what models?

Staying at stock height.

Thanks guys, a quick search just turned up OBS-to-SD leaf swaps.

08+ are longer, but PMF makes a hanger kit for them. They have a nicer ride due to the longer leaves.

If you do not mind moving or installing a new front hanger you will get a nicer ride out of upgrading to the 08 springs. If you choose to go with PMF its plug and play. IF you get a factory hanger you will need to modify the parking brake cable. Not terrible but a step. It depends I guess if you have 400 to drop on the PMF hangers. They are worth what you get but that is a lot for just a hanger if that makes sense. The quality and work is there for the dime its just a lot for what it does. Everything he makes is top quality and over built in a good way IMHO.

If not then all the 99-07 250/350 are the same with the same ratings for the main packs. Even the 08 has the same basic overall ratings of the main back

I want to upgrade to the later springs, preferably 2011 or 2012 if I can find a set. I would prefer to just relocate my stock hangers rather than spend big money for the PMF. I understand they need to be removed anyway to clear the spring clips on the '11 and '12 packs. How do I properly locate the existing ones so I'm drilling my frame in the right location? Seems that the main benefit of PMF's is that they serve as their own template for locating your new holes. $400 is a lot to spend for something that has no other real advantage over stock.

Just a heads up, our hangers are going on sale for $299...

If you have any questions I can assist with, just let me know!

Trevor WOW THANKS for the heads up!!!!! Now that makes the choice easy IMO.

Pick up a used set of 08s and these hangers. That would be less than a new set of springs total.

No, the '08 and up trucks have the front hanger welded to the frame. Also the parking brake cable is right in the damn middle of where the bracket has to be. Our bracket allows the parking brake cable to run through it.

Is there any difference in height with the >07' vs. 08'+ style leafs?

In other words: If I swap to the leaf pack from an 08' F350 onto my 00' F350, is there going to be much difference, if so, in which direction?

Thanks guys, just trying to figure out how to maintain a level truck, lol.

Height will not be affected by the swap unless you swap out to different weight capacity springs. The '08+ will however ride softer.
