rebuilding factory turbos?

id like to rebuild my factory turbos and put some batmos in it.. whats it take to do this? can it be done diy or does it need to be taken to a performance shop... thanks

Turbo shop. The rebuild kit is on eBay as most shops. Any get parts.

Try not to hijack but if the arm for the vgt is busted off the turbo can that be replaced?
I know back in 08 i bought a set of turbos and nothing rebuild wise was available.

i like monster said turbo shop. if you take the wheels off the turbo will need to be rebalanced!

You can take the comp wheels off and no worry about balancing but the turbine wheel is balanced with the shaft as a complete assembly.

The comp wheel is balanced seperatly too. Best thing is balanced as an assembly but most turbo builders don't do that.
