So a couple weeks ago my truck went from getting 15 mph on the regular to all of a sudden I can't get better than 10 mpg. I'm really not sure what is up with it. It also started making a different turbo whistle about the same time. It still has the typical 6.0 whistle but now it has a strange secondary whistle. The truck went to a ford dealer to have a injector nozzle replaced and the Ecm and FICM updated with the current flash.

So now that leads me to this. Since my truck is under warranty they only replaced 1 injector nozzle and I'm afraid that another will fail soon and do not want to be sitting along side the road until the replace all 8 so I figured I would buy injectors and replace them all at 1 time and be done. I was looking at Warren Diesel 175 with stock nozzles and 175 with the upgraded nozzles. What is the biggest difference in them? Also is Warren a good company with a good product?

Now getting to the turbo I was thinking about getting a Garrett Powermax to upgrade the turbo and hope the weird whistle goes away. Now would that be a good match for that injector setup?

The truck only has 90,000 on it and has been head studded.

Your bellows are probably broken on your up pipes, causing the secondary whistle, or a boost leak. Check the fireeall/up pipes for soot.

That is a good thought. I hadn't thought about the up pipes possibly being damaged. I will check.

I am still looking at doing the injectors but really looking at the Holder Diesels 175 just not sure if that's ok with just a Powermax and some tuning.
